Our Adventure Begins

The flight:  I Sandi, promise to never fly the red eye again.  Our flight to Orlando left at 10:00 pm, but we had a layover in Vegas for two hours at 12:00. We then arrived in Florida at 7:00 am. This pic is of our kids in the airport, tired but obviously not bored.  ( wish we had all these devises riding in the hatch of the Toyota Corrolla, all the way to California).  You can"t see but Jess is on her lap top and Conner is asleep.  US airways picked our seating for us and did not place any of us together on the plane.  Conner and Nikki were expected to sit alone on a six hour flight unless we could get someone to trade.  Scott worked out his situation with Conner but when I asked the lady sitting in J20 to sit in k20 ( both window seats by the way) so I could sit with Nikki...SHE SAID NO.  So Nikki began to cry.  This didn't even phase the lady. This lady was also probaly tipping the 300 pound mark and couldn't fit in her seat.  The man on the other side of me was also tipping 300 pounds.  So I was squished between two chubbies  with my daughter crying in the row behind me.  Luckily for me I am married to a knight in shining armor.  Scott saw my situation and with his charming ways got the stewardess to go around asking everyone on the plane if they would move around to get Nikki and I sitting together.  Finally we ended up sitting together.  After a night of a baby constantly crying a few rows back and a little boy continually tossing his cookies all night. No sleep for Sandi and off to start the fun vacation.  No more red eye flights...please remind me of this.

Is June really over?

June was wild and crazy but sooo much fun.  We started out with the Studio One end of the year concert.  It is always a long afternoon and evening of dance.  It started at 4:30 with the solo, duo. trio concert and then at 6:30 the real concert began and didn't finish until almost 10.  With three dancers at Studio One we had close to 20 dances with at least one of our girls.  They did great.  It was Jessi's last concert which was sad.  Her favorite teacher Bree flew in from Texas just for the show.  That meant so much to Jess and all the other girls.

Jess continued to work on High School Musical Three.  She has loved being a movie star..haha.  Actually she gets paid well but the other day she had to show up at 9:45 am to hair and makeup.  She didn't end up shooting any scenes until almost 4:00.  She had to wear this outfit all day.  She said she couldn't even eat because of the long pink nails.  Such hard work for the money..haha.

Nikki and Conner took swimming lessons and tennis lessons. Conner and Austin just finished up baseball.  Nikki will be playing softball through July. Austin started High School football.  He has been going every morning at 7 for the whole month.  He has been driving me everywhere practicing up for the big 16th birthday.  Sidney, Jess and I have been trying to get to the gym everyday and Sid and Jess have dance daily at 8.

We have taken the boat out twice now.  Once for Jess's 18th birthday with her friends and once for Sidney's 13th birthday with her friends.  Both trips were tons of fun.  Our kids have great fun friends.  We love them.  Yep..we now officially have three teenagers in our home.  We might be painting yellow parking stripes in our culdesac soon.  We always have a full house and no parking.  It is fun though and as I said we really do love all our kids friends.

We miss our Daddy...Fathers day

Scott is the best Dad and Husband a girl could ask for.  He has been working so much lately we really miss not having him around.  He has started to slow down at work but is now busy doing all those honey do's that piled up while he worked so hard the past year.  The thing our family loves about Scott the most is his laid back attitude and his sense of humor...( I don't enjoy it as much during family scripture time).  Scott does anything and everything for me and has told me I am beautiful and he loves me almost everyday of our marriage. I love you Sweety!!! Enjoy your day of rest!
He also ran in a triathalon again last weekend.  It ended up being a biathalon because of rain but he finished with a better time on the swim and run than last year.  Here are the before the race and after the race pictures.

Nikki and softball

I am coaching Nikki's softball team.  Nikki is a great little softball player and I'm not just saying that because I'm her Mommy.  She is one of the best on the team and even pitched a game the other night. She is also taking tennis lessons and loving every minute of it.  Maybe we have a sporty girl coming out of a dancing girl.  It could happen and would be a lot cheaper.

Jessi's Walk...forgot to put it in below.

Next...Conners big day...Kindergarten graduation

Conner was more than a little annoyed with the fact that we didn't throw a huge party for him and invite all the family to his graduation.  He didn't get any presents or money...and no one even called.  As you can guess a trip to Walmart to get the newest Iron Man toy did the trick and he forgave us all for being so inconsiderate.  The little Kindergarten kids sang, gave talks and then were presented with their diplomas.

A Month and No Blogging...First up graduation

Wow!! What a month it has been.  Jessi graduated...it was the best day ever.  We had a huge party at our house and so many people came and showed their love to Jess that day.  It was fantastic.  I only cried once and that was one the way to graduation with Scotty in the car.  We were all alone driving to the Marriot Center and I broke down a bit while we remembered the life and times of our little girl. She is a great young women and we are excited to see what she does with her life now.
