Wicked
I got to see Wicked again this weekend! I first saw it in New York City 4 years ago and LOVED it. I was a little nervous about going again because I love Kristen Chenoweth ( from pushing daisies) She was Glenda when I saw it is New York and was awesome. When we arrived we found out the back up Glenda was playing the part at our matinee but she rocked. Her voice didn't carry like Kristen but she did a great job and Elphaba was incredible. All in all i laughed, cried and was taken out of my world for three hours. I've got to get my girls to it. I want to plan a girls trip to San Fran for the weekend sometime soon and take the girls!

The American Girl Store
Ever since going to New York City I have wanted to take my girls to the American Girl store. Jessi received her first bitty baby at age 4 and for the past 15 years I have been ordering from the catalog. We have 6 American girl dolls, the bitty twins and 3 bitty babies. I know it's my fault my girls love these dolls but they are so dang cute!
I got the chance to take Nikki to the store in LA on our trip. She loved it! They have a doll hair dresser, hospital, cafe, theater and numerous outfits and playthings for the dolls. We had a blast. Next time we want to go eat in the cafe.
fancy dining on the cruise ship
Fancy Dining is one of the favorite activities of our family on the cruise. You would think our kids would not enjoy dressing up every night, ordering foods they have never tasted or heard of, and sitting for over two hours relaxing and enjoying a three course meal. They want to go every night. I must say the food on the Norwegian was good but didn't compare to the food on carnival. We still had a blast ordering strange things to taste and experiment with.
Mozart in training :)
Nikki and Conner performed in their first piano recital with their new teacher. Nikki loves to practice and plays all the time and it showed. She played great. Conner loves the fact he is in piano lessons but can not stand to practice. Somehow he knew his two songs perfectly and played great. I hope the keep up with their lessons. All my kids have been in music lessons as children and then fallen away. Austin is the only child so far who has an actual passion for music. You won't often see him now without one of his guitars or his newest instrument; his banjo!

Parasailing in Cabo
On the Road Again
And we are off....after a month of planning all out tours, shopping out of season for wardrobes for all my growing kids, packing for endless hours and getting the car all repaired. First stop Buffalo Bills. Please do not ever stay at Buffalo Bills! The Roller Coaster A+ the hotel a double D. Next stop L.A. and the American girl store for Nikki. She was in heaven. We then went to meet our ship and discovered we did not have 3 suitcases!!!! We had left them in the parking lot of Buffalo Bills!! No clothes for Conner, Nikki and half of Jessi's clothes were gone!! I wanted to cry and did have a small moment when we got on the ship. Half of their clothes still had the price tags on them. Good thing all you need in Mexico is a swimsuit. Our kids were great about having no luggage and never complained. I complained quite a bit while washing our underwear everyday with soap and water in our cabin sink. Nikki and Conner have a great wardrobe of Mexi clothes now!
