Is there a better movie that RAT RACE?  We are watching it as a family again..( this is at least the 15th time we've watched it together)  We watch this movie every time we go camping and since it's been winter I guess we were missing it. I remember the first time we watched it together  we were camping in our tiny trailer about 5 years ago.  Jessi, Austin and Scott were laughing so hard.  I was getting mad at them because I had just gotten Nikki and Conner to sleep.  Soon instead of getting mad I was laughing along with them.  We woke Conner and Nikki up and we all stayed up watching it till at least 1:30 that morning.  Now every time we camp we have to bring rat race and Ben and Jerry's along.

The Smile

Your eyes are the window to your soul and your smile is what the door?  A persons perfect smile has become a very important mark of beauty to a huge expense.  Can you say "12,000"?  We have now paid the orthodontist that much money over 4 years.  Sid just went in for her consultation and will be getting her braces on in 1 week.  No insurance for braces and this just sucks.  Sidney says your a nobody in junior high if you don't have brace face...haha.  Even if you have a small over bite or one crooked tooth you MUST GET IT FIXED. Whatever... I never had braces and have a few crooked teeth, but I think I have a great smile.  Scott also went to the dentist last night to get his tooth implant at a small price of 2900.00...Oh well it's just money

Easter

Easter Sunday we had a house full of fun.  The Snowden's and the Stalker's joined together for an Easter-Conner's Birthday Party.  Everyone in the family showed up ( except Rick and Erin because Rick is on the road) We appreciate the support of our families so much.  Our lives and our children's lives have been so blessed because of all the family we have around.  This Easter I really thought a lot about new beginnings.  I am so thankful for the blessing Christ has given me. I am so thankful that through all my little screw ups in life ...I can be forgiven and try, try again.  I am so thankful for the unconditional love he shows to each of us.  Happy Spring everyone...enjoy the Sun. :)

The Weight Loss Battle

Well today was weigh in day at weight watchers...This is my 11th week of weight watchers and I have lost 21 pounds now...The past three weight ins have not been as rewarding for me.  My weight loss has slowed way down and while I still have 10 pounds I want to get rid of I think it is going to take months to take it off at this rate.  Hearing you lost .6 pounds or 1.3 pounds isn't quit as fun as losing 4 in a week.  I'm sticking with it though. I signed up for another 10 weeks today and am going to work my smaller butt off these next few weeks to try and get over my hump.

Saint Patty's day fun

Saint Patty's we have a contest to see who wears the most green. This year I offered a prize of a day off school with Mom.  Wow I had no idea how popular I was. ( or unpopular school was) Our kids even Scott went crazy with their outfits as you can see.  We had a all green dinner and then watched August Rush. ( The band on the show is from Ireland so it worked with the theme)  August Rush is a great music lovers movie by the way.  If you can get past all the impossibilities of the story line you will really enjoy it.

Our Weekend Away

These weekends away from it all have become much more important to me now that Jessi's graduation is coming up.  She is going to live in an apartment over by BYU. We had a great time just hanging out as a family without all the interruptions of home.  We motorcycled all day Saturday, swam, ate and went to see Spiderwick.  Sunday we swam again and then packed up and spent the day in Zions National Park.  It was so beautiful and really reminded me of our trips

Great Grandma Velma passes away

Great Grandma Velma left us on Feb. 25th.  We all loved her and will miss her here.  She lived here in Utah with grandpa Andy when Jess was a baby for a few years and I really grew to love them.  Scott has always had fun stories to tell of his grandma and grandpa.  We are thankful that they are now together in a better place. Isn't it great to know we will be with them again and we just say goodbye for a little while.

Snowboarding with the Snowdens at Sundance

We had so much fun this past weekend taking everyone snowboarding. Even Conner took lessons and snowboarded with us afterwards. Spending the whole day together as a family doesn't happen very often anymore and it was even more fun in the snow.
