Windsor Field Day!

My kids have always loved field day.  They don't always win the blue ribbon but they love trying!  We have a tradition of putting football black marks under eyes, Mom always works at one or more of the races and we seem to always win the three-legged race.  Nikki wasn't with her favorite partner this year and missed out on the grand prize.  Sidney and her friend Brooke won every year and even raced the boy winners in 6th grade and won!  Sid still brags about it every year.  This was Conners first year to race and he thought it was really fun.

Conner has been helping out a lot at home lately while Scott has been working out of town.  He takes the garbage out, tucks me in sometimes, and asks if I need anything all the time.  This morning he got the weed eater out put his glasses on and started weed eating.  It was so cute that he noticed that we needed the lawn finished.  He didn't come and ask for any help.  We just heard him out there working! What a cutie!

The triathalon!

So I know all you that read my blog have been dying for me to post about the tri!  haha  Well it came and it was really fun.  Jess, Sid, Mer and I ran it together.  After a few mishaps before the race all went really well.  I was proud of my girls for finishing it with little or no training.  (Sid)  My time was better than I had expected.  Jess is getting sick of me telling people she only beat me by a minute and half  but it makes me feel good about my oldness! haha!  Here are our pics! Jess has to be one of the hardest working teens I know.  Not only did she decide to go to summer school.  She took on waitressing at goodwood this past month.  She still dances with the Thunder and teaches at two studios.  We just watched her end of the year front and center concert.  She had choreographed and taught 15 dances this year at the one studio.  All her girls love her.  She did a great job with them too. She still works out almost everyday and just ran a triathalon this past weeked. She also has a full time serious boyfriend, who she tries to fit into to all this.  Super Girl. Way to go jess.  You are the best.

Wicked

I got to see Wicked again this weekend!  I first saw it in New York City 4 years ago and LOVED it.  I was a little nervous about going again because I love Kristen Chenoweth ( from pushing daisies)  She was Glenda when I saw it is New York and was awesome.  When we arrived we found out the back up Glenda was playing the part at our matinee but she rocked.  Her voice didn't carry like Kristen but she did a great job and Elphaba was incredible.  All in all i laughed, cried and was taken out of my world for three hours.  I've got to get my girls to it.  I want to plan a girls trip to San Fran for the weekend sometime soon and take the girls!

The American Girl Store

Ever since going to New York City I have wanted to take my girls to the American Girl store.  Jessi received her first bitty baby at age 4 and for the past 15 years I have been ordering from the catalog.  We have 6 American girl dolls, the bitty twins and 3 bitty babies.  I know it's my fault my girls love these dolls but they are so dang cute!  

I got the chance to take Nikki to the store in LA on our trip.  She loved it!  They have a doll hair dresser, hospital, cafe, theater and numerous outfits and playthings for the dolls.  We had a blast.  Next time we want to go eat in the cafe.

Fancy Dining is one of the favorite activities of our family on the cruise.  You would think our kids would not enjoy dressing up every night, ordering foods they have never tasted or heard of, and sitting for over two hours relaxing and enjoying a three course meal.  They want to go every night.  I must say the food on the Norwegian was good but didn't compare to the food on carnival.  We still had a blast ordering strange things to taste and experiment with.
